Subtle? Indeed!

I’ve been trying to set up a minimalist blog for years and I’ve tried them all. I’ve tried wordpress, blogger, hosting myself and even just keeping small updates on my Twitter account, but none of these options have stuck as a habit. Is svbtle.com (I keep writing sybtle, don’t know why…) the answer that I’ve been looking for?

I found out about svbtle.com from reddit.com/r/minimalsim, where people post everything minimalist and automatically get shunned for those things not being what minimalism is all about. But I didn’t let that discourage me and went on to explore what svbtle.com has to offer.

Right away, the front page presented me the design of a minimalist website I enjoy so much - nothing excessive, just text and simple links. I looked around the website and checked out some blogs that had been created and I decided that this service may be the answer I was looking for. Over the years, I have tried using different solutions to find the perfect one for me, but non of those have stuck. I’ve used blogger, wordpress, tried hosting myself and even using my Twitter account as a small blog. Let’s see if svbtle works better.

So here I am, writing my first post about what I am looking for. it is oh-so simple, but yet a lot to ask. No ads, no shiny designs, just text and information. So far this can all be obtained using other services, which I’ve mentioned earlier, but getting the perfect set-up takes time. I’ll try to post here to get an idea, if this is the out-of-the-box solution that will work for me.
